Oct. 16

  • “Where the Wild Things Are,” rated PG. (Warner Bros.)

    Synopsis: Based on the popular children’s book series, Max’s imagine soars as the king of the wild things.

    Synopsis: Many cultures, religions believe that the end of the world will come in 2012. This adventure from director Roland Emmerich follows the story of some survivors.

  • “Pirate Radio” rated R. (Universal Pictures)

    Synopsis: In Britain 1966 recently expelled student, Carl has been sent by his mother to find some direction in life by visiting his godfather, Quentin. However, Quentin is the boss of Radio Rock, a pirate radio station in the middle of the North Sea, populated by an eclectic crew of rock-and-roll deejays.

    Starring: Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost and Kenneth Branagh.

    Nov. 20

  • “Twilight: New Moon,” not yet rated. (Summit)

    Synopsis: After Edward suddenly abandons Bella, she is drawn into the world of werewolves when she is drawn to her friend Jacob.

    Synopsis: Loosely inspired by the Fellini film "8½," story focuses on a film director stuck in neutral as he tries to make a movie while haunted by the demands of all the women in his life, including a wife, mistress and even his deceased mother.

    Synopsis: Reunites Freeman with “Million Dollar Baby” and “Unforgiven” director Clint Eastwood for the story of Nelson Mandela’s partnership with a rugby star (Matt Damon) who helped unify their country as South Africa’s team makes an underdog dash through the 1995 World Cup.
